MODENAS manpower generally comes from adjacent regions. Before assembly operations commenced , 200 MODENAS engineers and operators were sent to Japan for training.
When operations began, the number of staff had swelled to 700 people, the majority being production operators. At the peak of production in 1997, almost 1000 people were employed in MODENAS.

MATERIAL CONTROL EXECUTIVE
Responsibilities :-
- Handle efficient production parts flow in the warehouse & inventory control procedures with analytical skills.
- Able to lead the material controller team and maintain a proper inventory records.
Requirements :-
- Diploma
- At least 5 years experience in Material Control management in a manufacturing environment
- Inventory control skills, supervisory skills and computer literate
- Male, 30 years old and above

TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities :-
- To assist engineer in daily line troubleshooting
- To assist engineer in designing and improvement of Welding Jig and Fixtures
- To assist engineer in preparing line equipment for new model
- To prepare ISO documentation such as SOP / QCPC
- Jig/Mould Maintenance
- Specify/Improve process
- In process Quality Improvement
Requirements :-
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM)/GIAT MARA
- 6 years working experience in Welding/Metal Stamping
- Familiar with CAD System
- Independent empowerment
- Good attitude, responsible and efficient person and require minimum supervision
- Male, 25 years old and above

Employee Relation Activities And Benefit Services Executive
Responsibilities :-
- To manage overall operation of Employee Relation, activities and Benefit Services Section.
- Review and revise as necessary the existing Policy & Procedure
- To handle employees discipline matter such as counselling, disciplinary action,conduct investigation, Domestic Inquiry and other related functions
- Develop and maintain good relation and cooperation with the Union and relevant authority such as Department of Labor,Industrial Relation etc.
- Plan and organise employee relation program and activities
- To handle key assignment/project related to Employee relation, activities and Compensation & Benefit from time to time
- Represent the business in local and regional ER/IR networks ( internal & external )
- Other related work when required.
Requirements :-
- Candidate must possess at least Post Graduate Diploma or Profesional Degree in BusinessStudies/Administration/ Management equivalent.
- Computer literate, negotiation, Good Communication Skill (English/B.Malaysia)
- High level interpersonal skill to handle confidential matters.
- At least 3 year (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Gurun
- Preferably Senior Executive specializing in Human Resources or equivalent

Health/Safety & Environment Executive
Responsibilities :-
Responsible to implement planned system in responding all types of emergency, to train all plant personnel in all fire and safety related training and to ensure that the safe system of work as per Government and MODENAS requirement being implemented and properly adhered to
- Establish fire and safety awareness to all employees and contractors and contribute towards development and maintenance of safe work environment in MODENAS
- Manage proper execution of Fire and Safety Training programs to achieve MODENAS business objective of healthy and safe working environment
- Conduct Safety & Health Audit and incident/accident investigation to identify the root cause and make proposal for corrective measure to prevent recurrence of same incident
- Plans and prepare budget for equipment replacement or additional facilities for upgrading of fire and safety including providing technical specification of equipment. Manage section budget and monitor on quarterly basis
- Initiate proper implementation of fire and safety programs and regular surveillance in the plant to detect the outbreak of hazards i.e. spill and fire
- Prepare reports, records and inventory and organize for repair and maintenance of emergency equipment
- Controls and advise of Emergency Response Team members during emergencies
Involve in project design with the objective to improve environmental performance in MODENAS consistent with environmental legislation, operating standards, techniques and methodologies related to environmental preservation protection. Responsible for the smooth running of occupational health functions and services, coordination and administration of Occupational Health activities in line with DOSH requirement/OSHA 1994 requirement so as to ensure welfare of the employees in relation to safety and health
- Coordinate environmental monitoring and reporting material as per EIA requirement for MODENAS
- Conduct periodical inspection to plant to ensure compliance of practices with established guidelines and procedures and to identify, resolve or highlight any environmental issues
- Establish and advise on the scheduled waste management in MODENAS
- Enhancement of environmental and health awareness amongst staff via means of continuous training and awareness sessions
- Responsible for the completion of MODENAS’s CHRA, including planning and monitoring of action items and regular updates to DOSH. Includes also noise monitoring as per OSHA’s requirement
- Ensure availability and reliability of environmental and health equipment and facilities
- Coordinate Safety and Health Committee that has been assigned. This includes arrangement of meetings, development of Minutes of Meeting and follow up on action items of the committee
Requirements :-
Qualification and /Requirement
- Must posses at least a Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), Chemistry, Science & Technology or equivalent
- A qualified and registered Safety & Health Officer with the Department of Occupational Safety & Health Malaysia. Registered with DOSH as Competent Safety & Health Officer and passed SHO examination conducted by NIOSH – Ministry of H.R. Malaysia
- Possess Professional Fire Fighting and Hazardous Material Officer qualification (trainer in all types of emergencies)
- Registered with NIOSH as qualified Trainer/Assessor and possess Trainer certificate
- Well verse on OSHA 94, Act 341 (Bomba), UBBL (Bomba), CIMAH 96 and other relevant legislation
- Have good leadership and problem-solving capabilities and able to plan and implement with good communication skills
- Able to make right decision during critical situation or during emergencies
